Eclectic Garage

I love summer don't you, especially if I have a few days to myself to do as I please....which for me means wondering around antique shops and quirky restaurants...

Wherever I go, whatever I am doing, I am always on the lookout for interesting interiors.  I can't help it.  I really can't.  I'm often trailblazing in front of hubby down a winding alley and come across the quaintest of restaurants with the most darling's my thing and I love it!

I didn't have to venture very far for this though.. and I just had to share this amazing space with you - this was once a GARAGE!  Yes indeed, it's amazing what you can do when you have VISION!

This is a GREAT eclectic interior...don't you just LOVE the mirrored fireplace??

They have this amazing dresser filled with different kinds of kind of place!

(apologies for the poor quality of the pics - I used my iphone and I might have wobbled a bit!)

Until next time....

Enjoy the week!

Hi everyone, I've had the week off, and I've been enjoying my mum's visit with lots of days out shopping, tea and cake, and I'm in need of some exercise...

Unfortunately no cycling for me as my bicycle was recently stolen....(sob!!) here
(good news follows though!)

I've been looking at mirrors recently as I'm in the process of giving an old bathroom a new look...and so I'm on the hunt for the perfect mirror!

I know I've already done a bathroom post, so forgive me for redoing one....what can I say, all these bathrooms have interesting visuals.  Whether it's paintings on the wall, mock croc wall covering (or perhaps the real thing!!)  The mirror might be the most expensive item you buy for the bathroom, but it will make a huge impact if you have chosen wisely...

This is a stunning effect, the colours superb  but a little too busy for my taste...however I do love the animal head on the wall, something quite different to hang on a bathroom wall.

Hope the sun shines in your part of the world this weekend!

After a relaxing lunch and a long beach walk, first on hard cement and then scrunching over rough pebbles, I was reminded of flooring and how important it is in a home.

So talking about interiors, it's all about flooring in this post.  Why flooring?  Well flooring can make or break an interior layout...the wrong flooring and it can look hideously ugly and the right floor, it can make it all come's also one of the most expensive buys when you are renovating, or building a new home, so it has to be right, right??  Imagine 200 square metres of the wrong flooring?

Flooring has to suit the style of your interior and be suitable for purpose.

So let's look at flooring, carpets, wooden floors, painted floors, tiles, sisal flooring etc

Console tables

Hi everyone, we're finally winning Gold at the Olympics...fingers crossed we keep it up!

Console tables are a great way of using up redundant space like in a hallway.  Consoles offer an ideal opportunity to display beautiful table lamps or collections, ideally against a wall.

Are you watching the Olympics?
What's your favourite sport?

Have a great week!
