What a joyous occasion it is when family can get together over this special festive time. As each year passes I realise what a privilege it is and how wonderful it is to be able to share Christmas with my children. It's a time to celebrate and spoil our loved ones, to enjoy good food, laughter and the magic of Christmas and to remember the reason we celebrate at all.
In our family we have three days of celebration, starting with the Christmas Eve feast of seafood where we gather and enjoy an intimate family celebration before the BIG day. Christmas day we reflect on all the good things that has happened in the year and enjoy each other's company.
Today, Boxing day, I've relaxed and sipped tea, made phyllo mince pies and paged through my lovely new books!
Tonight we gather once more for an intimate casual buffet supper. It's all good. Despite the work involved, I wouldn't have it any other way.
My pink Christmas table - which raised a few eyebrows when I mentioned it would be pink, but I adore it!
To all you lovely bloggers out there, enjoy this time of festive cheer, may you feel loved, cherished, spoiled and ready for the next year's festivities!
Until next time...
