Bluebells

Sunday greetings from a wet and rainy south.
We've had a relaxing weekend.  When the weather is kind in England, you have to get out into the countryside.   We were on a mission Hubby and I, to find a woodland full of Bluebells.  On our way to Stanstead House for morning tea we drove past a haze of blue.   We just had to stop and walk through the beautiful woodland with sunlight streaming down on the Bluebells.  What a beautiful sight! These Bluebells are indigenous and we can tell from the deep blue colour of the petals and the way the bells hang to one side.   Our Bluebells date back from the 17th century and are protected by Law, so absolutely no picking is allowed!

We later drove along the country lanes and came across this field of vibrant Rape flowers in West Marden, West Sussex, ...just so beautiful!

Enjoy the photos!

Have a great week!

  4. Hi Sharon,
I am so happy to have found your beautiful blog! its a pleasure meeting you..
I read your post about your sisters visit and it brought tears to my eyes, I lost my sister two years ago this May and it still hurts my heart, You are so very blessed to have your dear sister and I loved reading about your visit with her, my sister and I use to do the same things together. How very blessed you are.
I am not a professional designer but love planning out every room in my home. My husband and I just went through a full home remodel. I posted our kitchen this week.
I know I am going to love reading your posts and look forward to visiting again.
    Have a sweet day, Elizabeth

  5. Hello Sharon, how have you been?

These photos are gorgeous, what a beautiful view!

Have I told you I'm going to spend a week in England at the last week of June? I'm going for a food styling & photography workshop in East Sussex. It's going to be my first trip to Europe, and I can't wait to be at the English countryside. I've seen so many amazing places in photos & movies.

    Have a great week.
